Chef Nick has outdone himself in Petaluma. If you loved his food at Bisou Bistronomy in SF, make the trek to Petaluma to an absolutely homey French Bistro that will have you longing for a Bistro seat on the Champs-Elysees. The food, 10; The people, 10; Atmosphere, 10; The experience 100. Bravo Chef Nick, you’re on the Hot List of best places to eat. Try the Duck, try the Steak, try the Coquilles, it’s all great! The wines are excellent too!

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and were not disappointed. If you are looking to combine delicious food with welcoming and attentive service, you'll feel right at home at Brigitte Bistro. Our group of four ordered a variety of items. The steak frites was perfectly cooked and my lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. The french onion soup was spectacular and the escargot a tasty bite. The finale included a tableside tiramisu which delighted my daughters. On top of that, the service was exceptionally friendly and all the food was well timed. We felt like we were treated as old friends rather than first time visitors. We look forward to going back.

Just a great experience overall. This is not a quiet stuffy restaurant. It’s a lively environment where you can see the kitchen at work and it’s a place to socialize. They serve French food, which, if you’ve never had truly French cooking before, can be very rich in flavor (just a warning to those who prefer flavorless foods, this is not your place). The ingredients are fresh, the cooking is on point and you can feel the passion for the food in every dish that comes out. The service was phenomenal. I personally enjoy when a restaurant gives you time to relax, unwind and chat with those you’re dining with. Our server always had a smile on his face and provided lots of menu recommendations (his wine pairings were 10/10). The escargots and marrow bone dish was divine. The flavor explosion (chefs kiss). The only thing that stopped me from completely cleaning the plate of all butter was the fact that I knew I had more dishes to eat! The beets and Belgian endive salad was full of components that complimented each other. I love a salad that makes endives exciting! It was crispy, bright, sweet, tangy and a nice touch of acid to cut through the richness of the marrow dish. And with that we were ready to dive into our entrees. You cannot go wrong with the steak frites but I do recommend trying other things on the menu (my mom has not had much experience with French food so she chose the steak frites as it was more familiar to her... she loved it). I chose the sea bass and it was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Yes, get the bread to soak up all sauces on your plates. For dessert we got the Ile Flottante. If you like flavors like vanilla and caramel, get it. Or if you just like to eat dessert, get it, it’s delicious. Obviously we will be back and I’m very excited to try the other items on the menu.

I wish I could give extra stars in this rating! As you approach your seat, Chef Nick Ronan welcomes you home, and for us, this sentiment really rang true. Despite it being our first visit, Chef Nick and our waiter made us feel like we were regulars, like we were home! We started with a kir cassis and then enjoyed the escargot, onion soup, and salad lyonnaise. We could have ended the evening there and been completely satisfied, but we were celebrating, so it was on to the entrees. We went in thinking we would get the scallops and the steak, but our waiter recommended the beef bourguignon and black cod, and we went with his recommendations. We added a side of the gratin potatoes. All three were superb, but the black cod stands out as one of the best dishes I've ever had. The lemon creme sauce was magical! We finished with the floating island and chocolate fondant and that concluded our amazing evening. The food was tremendous! And sure, I wish the parking lot had more spaces, that every table was a window seat, and that the pace was more French than American, but in the end, none of those things matter. There's something else happening at Brigitte Bistro that makes the experience truly special, a certain je ne sais quoi that makes you feel like you're home! I can't wait to return, and when I do, I'll let my waiter decide everything!

We are in town for vacation. Chose Brigitte because I really wanted my wife to experience a good French meal. Didn't read many reviews etc just decided it sounded good and made a reservation. All possible expectations were exceeded. Nick and all staff were an absolute pleasure and the food was fantastic. I am sort of glad I am not close enough to go regularly... or I'd move in. Nice wine list, great escargot. We ordered the scallops and chicken for mains and all were exceptional. Nick took time to sit with us a moment and enjoy some conversation. Entire staff I would thoroughly enjoy having a meal with. Great people and feels like home and family. This place deserves a lot of recognition its hard to find French as well executed. Amazing work.

Hallelujah! Brigitte Bistro brought a taste of France to California for our Easter dinner. With dishes both traditional and original we feasted in an atmosphere attentive, authentic and warm. Brigitte is as local as it is French and this marriage is exemplified in the locally sourced ingredients and French prepared dishes. The restaurant is well lit, enjoyable for intimate conversation or family style supper. The Frenchest onion soup ever was AWESOME and gem salad as perfectly herb dressed as in Paris. Rustic ham over mashed potatoes, pops of purple cauliflower and pistachios scattered playfully was the special of the day and it was very. The wine was divine. The portions American, the decor farmhouse fresh and the overall experience a vacation from irl. Bravo Nick and team, we are coming back!!!

Go! Make a reservation and go. Do not hesitate. Brigitte Bistro will earn a Michelin Star and reservations will be months out. Five stars does not capture the excellent experience dining at Brigitte Bistro. From the moment you step in, the welcoming front of house team is there to start you off on a wonderful culinary journey. The chef owner himself was there to give a warm personal greeting. Our server attentive server Luc further made our dining experience a night to remember. He was always on the spot with service and his sense of humor had us laughing throughout our time at the restaurant. My wife and I sat at the chef's counter and got a first hand look at the back of house team. The organized, efficient, and talented team prepped and dished orders like a well choreographed dance troupe. Chef Ronan personally worked the pass to ensure everything went out without any detailed missed. The food was excellent. The menu well balanced menu offered a variety of French dishes with something for all culinary tastes. Honestly, there is not much I can say other than we enjoyed everything we ordered. Bottom line, Brigitte Bistro is a gem. The experience from when you enter to when you leave is five stars plus
